Welcome to the Fall 2002 edition of Physics
211: Laboratory in Electronics and Waves! The lab manual
contains the basic information and schedule for the course.
Labs: Thu 1:15 - 4:00 in Koshland
INSC H206 every week
(Note: You are welcome to get a key and come in on your
own at different times to work if you wish.)
General Items
See the lab manual for info on grading, policies, etc.
There
are no more pre-lab questions to be turned in after
Lab #5 (Elastic Waves) for the rest of the semester.
Some Grading Specifics
For Elastic Waves and
Dispersion, you will turn
in formal reports which are worth 20 points
each.
For Refraction/Imaging, you
will give an oral presentation of what you did. This is worth 15
points. We will sit down one-on-one and I will ask you about what
you did in the lab and ask you to explain the various procedures and
results.
For all of the other labs, please turn in a clear photocopy of
your notebook with all of the relevant information, including
diagrams, graphs, and quantitative results. You can turn in your lab
notebook instead, but you are not guaranteed to get it back by the
next lab period. Each of these labs will be worth 10
points.
