Department
of Physics and Astronomy
Franklin & Marshall College
Fall 2015
We will hand out a tentative schedule at the start off the semester which outlines the expected lab sequence. In addition, we have a lab manual which contains descriptions of these labs and has auxiliary information such as a summary of expectations for the course and documents on uncertainty, journal formats for writeups, and some data sheets which will prove useful in some of the labs. We will go over all of this in person.
We will regularly meet in Hackman 220 (the senior advanced lab) on Tue and Thu from 1:30 - 4:20 p.m.. However, apart from these meeting times, it will be necessary for you to come in on your own to finish up lab work or analysis. For the several astronomy projects we have scheduled, we will have to meet in the evenings. Since the class is small, we will arrange this in person after the start of the course.
